Application of Mineral Rod Mill

Mineral rod mill is one type of rod mill can be widely used in the process of quartz sand, dolomite and monazite, ore-dressing of non-ferrous metals and ferrous metals, the first-stage ore grinding of artificial stone and sand in dressing plant, chemical plant and power sector, and the grinding of building materials and other mineral materials in chemical industry.

Structure and Working Principle of Mineral Rod Mill

Mineral rod mill is formed with feeding part, charging part, cylinder, discharging part , bearing part, transmission part, electrical part and foundation part. The motor of mineral rod mill drives the cylinder to rotate through speed reducer, and the crushed ore in cylinder will be elevated to a certain height by liner through the force of centrifugal and friction when the cylinder is rotating, and then fell down to crush the ore material through gravity. The crushed ore products will be discharged through the discharging part. The ore will be fed into the mineral rod mill continuously and evenly by the joint feeder, while the crushed products will be discharged continuously from the mineral rod mill.

Operating precautions of Mineral Rod Mill

1. Feed evenly for it is important to ensure the high capacity and steady quality (fineness) of the rod mill; adjust feeding volume timely according to the check results of product fineness, under the basically stable situation of the size of the material particle size, humidity content and grinding degree. The thicker product fineness generally represents an excessive feeding, while the thinner product fineness generally represents less feeding.

2. Add mineral material properly and timely to realize the high capacity of rod mill, failed to add mineral material timely will lead to a low grinding capacity and output of mineral rod mill.
