Classification of Feeding Machine

Feeding machines can be divided into chute feeder, pendulum feeder, disc feeder, vibrating feeder and electromagnetic vibrating feeder, among which, chute feeder can be divided into three types: standard chute feeder, heavy chute feeder and barrel feeder.

Application of Chute Feeder

This kind of feeder is applied to the short distance transportation for the metallic and nonmetallic materials, and it is widely used in the department of metallurgy, chemical industry, coal, mine as well as the water conservancy and hydropower engineering. The chute feeder feeds the bulk and granular materials to different equipment from the storage bin.

This kind of feeder can be set up on the ground and also hung at the discharging mouth of the ore storage bin. The base plate remains in reciprocating motion at a jig frequency of 20 to 60 times per minute and the stroke is 20mm to 200mm. The length of stroke can be moderately regulated through the driving device-eccentric wheel, and the eccentricity accounts for half of the length of the stroke. According to several concentrators’ manufacturing practice, the eccentricity should not be shorter than 30mm as for viscous ores. The body width of the chute feeder is about 2 to 2.5 times of the maximal feeding size. Meanwhile, the largest chute feeder is able to satisfy the discharging of the iron ore with granularity less than 500mm. The most commonly used specification of chute feeder is 980*1240mm, with feeding size of 350-0mm.
